I think that lying is always bad. It is not a good thing. First off you could make your friends think that you are always lying so you could tell a lie and then and then keep lying. Then when you actually tell the truth then they are going to think that you are lying and your friends won’t know if they can trust you or not. Like in Jakob, der Lügner the butcher kills himself.
I think that the very first lie was okay but after that he should have told everyone that he hadn’t really gotten a radio. he could just tell everyone that he was told to go and get fair punishment for being out after curfew. so he went to the police station and he didn’t know where to go so he just waited and a door opened and he hid behind it and listened in.
I would say that the sick girl was representing the Jews and the cloud was like the Russians or some thing and maybe the Gardner was the Russians as well and the wise men might have been the Germans or something I have no idea
